How it works

Three steps. No setup.

No download, no permission grant, no sign-up. Open the page, paste a URL, and the rest happens in your browser.

1

Paste a link

Full youtube.com/watch URLs, youtu.be short links, Shorts, Lives, playlist URLs, or a bare 11-character video ID — they all work.

2

It plays here

We load the video with YouTube’s official player API. It streams from YouTube’s servers — but on our domain, where the “Video paused” code doesn’t exist.

3

Walk away

A wake lock and silent heartbeat keep the tab alive. Mark a loop with [ and ]. Bookmark the URL — loop points are remembered.

vs. the alternatives

Why a web player, not an extension.

Extensions are the loudest answer to YouTube’s pause prompt — and the most fragile. Here’s an honest comparison.

Questions

People ask, we answer.

Does this actually stop the "Video paused. Continue watching?" popup?
Yes. The dialog is JavaScript that lives inside youtube.com itself. When we embed the YouTube IFrame Player API on tubenonstop.com, that JavaScript never loads — so the prompt has nowhere to render. You can leave a 6-hour playlist running without a single interruption.
Is this legal? Does it violate YouTube's terms?
We use the official YouTube IFrame Player API, which Google publishes for third-party sites to embed video. Videos stream from YouTube's own servers. We don't download, modify, or re-host any content, and YouTube's own ads still play inside the embedded player.
Do I need to install anything? Is there a sign-up?
No to both. It's a web page. Open it, paste a URL, play. No extension to install, no account to create, no permission to grant.
How is this different from the YouTube NonStop Chrome extension?
The extension runs on youtube.com and clicks "Continue" when the dialog appears. It needs permission to read every page on YouTube, gets killed by Chrome's Memory Saver, doesn't work on mobile, and the original hasn't been updated since late 2023. TubeNonstop is a web player on a separate domain — no permissions, no install, no breakage on YouTube redesigns.
Can I loop just one section of a video?
Yes. Press [ at the start of the section and ] at the end. The player repeats that span forever until you press C to clear. Useful for music practice, language drills, dance choreography, and sports replays.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes — open this page in any mobile browser and the player adapts to small screens. Note that mobile operating systems can still suspend background tabs at the OS level, which is outside what any web page can control.
Will my AB loop points be saved?
Yes. Loop points are saved per video in your browser's localStorage. Come back to the same URL tomorrow and your loop is still there. Data never leaves your device.
Can I share my looped video with someone?
Yes. Once a video loads, the URL becomes tubenonstop.com/?v=VIDEO_ID. Copy and share it — the recipient gets the same player, ready to go.

Stop getting interrupted.
